Floating on the glacial waters of Wairepo Arm, High Country Salmon is ideally situated on State Highway 8, just south of the town of Twizel.  State Highway 8 is the main inland road from Christchurch to Queenstown, and passes Aoraki Mt Cook and scenic Lake Tekapo before it reaches Twizel.

Our farm, processing department, salmon shop and café are all on site, ensuring the shortest supply chain available.  We are extremely proud to say that 100% of our salmon is sold in New Zealand with 50% being sold through our shop and café and 50% being couriered to loyal restaurants, cafes and households nationwide.

 

 

 

Visitors to our business at Wairepo Arm are able to have a meal at the floating café, and take in the idyllic scenery.  The café has a mouth-watering selection of ready-to-eat foods including sashimi and sushi, as well as salmon-inspired Breakfast and All-Day menus.  Enjoy the "Glacier to Plate" experience - premium chinook salmon straight to your plate from the glacial waters of the southern alps.

You can enjoy your meal on our floating deck, under the veranda, or at a picnic table in the landscaped garden.  Visitors young and old enjoy throwing some fish feed pellets into the pen on the deck and watching the hungry salmon splash about.

      

 

 

The Salmon Shop offers a wide range of salmon products for customers to take home.  Choose from fresh, smoked or cured salmon in a variety of cuts.  Our friendly team is happy to answer your questions and help you select the ideal product.  Whether it's for a special occasion or a quick healthy meal, we have plenty of options for you.
